But she should. There aren’t enough bad words to describe Abbott. I’ve lately come to respect and value Gillard more recently, especially with our impending doom beckoning closer. I think she’s been quite a strong leader despite the public and the media berating her over every little step she takes. The ‘juliar’ nickname is disgraceful - and while sure she went back on her word, I believe the Carbon Tax and the Mining Tax are for the good of Australia and definitely should be in place. The time Abbott will waste undoing everything Labor have worked for the past two terms is really really scary and I don’t see him accomplishing anything other than that - oh, other than making us the laughing stock of the world.<br/><br/>I think it was Adam Hills who recently said the the poms are in absolute awe of the fact that Australia is in such a good place right now but want to give our government the flick. Our economy is one of the strongest in the world, our overall quality of life is brilliant but yet everyone wants to vote out the Government that arguably kept us in that position. No one else can understand that. <br/><br/>I think we as a country need to take a ‘grow the fuck up pill’ and realise how lucky we are to live in Australia and blaming everything that goes wrong in your life on Julia Gillard is ridiculous and only exists because Tony Abbotts only policy is to disagree with anything Gillard says and spread unfounded fear across the country.<br/><br/>The state of politics in Australia is pretty shitty, we have two more or less right wing parties who don’t reflect the views and moralities of a majority of Australians (Gay marriage being a perfect example of how out of touch they are) We need flare back in our politics, we need celebrities singing catchy songs about real change and a leader who sparks inspiration in the people.
